Kiwi farms have closed in New England after being bought by a Chinese company, the company said.
The company, Calf Holdings, said on Friday it was closing its operations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
It was not immediately clear why the farms would be closed.
Calf Holdings has been looking to expand its operations to the New England region, where it has a footprint, said Kevin Crampton, an executive with the company.
