A mystery has been solved: The body of a woman whose body was discovered in a shallow grave in Pepperidge Farm, Arizona, has been identified as the owner of the farm.
The discovery was made Wednesday by a member of the community who had previously worked on the property, according to the Peoria Sun Journal.
“It’s sad that it happened,” Maggie’s owner, Katie Sorensen, told the newspaper.
“But at the same time, it’s important that we all know what happened and who was responsible for it.
It’s important for people to know, that we’ve had a woman in our family, who was the owner and we’re just happy that she’s gone now.”
Maggie’s has been operating since 2012 and has been a staple of the town since her mother died of cancer.
Her family, however, had moved the family to another location after her death.
The family said that Soretsen had died from complications from the cancer.
A message left for Soresen was not immediately returned Wednesday.
